Winter Travel with Baby

With the days getting colder in Wisconsin, you’ll be bundling your little one up for holiday trips. But all the extra winter “bulk” or “fluff” your baby is wearing can cause issues with your baby’s car seat that you might not realize. Luckily, The Car Seat Lady has some tips about keeping your baby warm AND safe this winter!

Here’s a quick overview of the points (but you will get WAY more thorough information if you go to the page!)

  • The car seat manufacturer had to test whatever they have included in the seat, and that likely doesn’t count your items!
  • The straps on the car seat should fit as they normally would WITHOUT the fluff.
  • Moving the winter gear outside of the straps will not only help keep those straps functioning properly, but also help you keep your baby at the right temperature once the car heats up.

Safe travels!
